Starbucks, Poundland and KFC in Fleet Walks reshuffle

fleetwalkSPECULATION is growing about big names moving into Torquay’s Fleet Street shopping centre including Starbucks, KFC, Poundland and Nando’s.
Starbucks has been holding job interviews and appointing staff for a new premises in Torquay.
A planning application has been made following the closure of the Toy Sale shop at the bottom of Fleet Walk, knocking through into the adjoining former Pizza Hut.
It is understood that KFC is set to move into the new bigger premises.
Meanwhile Poundland plans to double in size by extending into the existing KFC further up Fleet Walk.
It is also understood that two gyms are looking at the possibility of opening health and fitness businesses within the shopping centre.
Meanwhile there has been ongoing speculation about Nando’s interest in opening a restaurant in Torquay.
The rumour has been fuelled by the closure of Fleet Walk’s longest-standing tenants, The Wood Shop, which closed its largest unit on the ground floor in the rondel at the bottom of the centre over Christmas.
