Therapia is probably the longest-established cannabis-based medicinal-products company in the UK. Therapia’s cannabis formulations have been in production for over two decades and were conceived when a Canadian hemp grower had a huge crop that was intended for the US market – but was affected by the sudden ban on all imports to the US in 2000. Rather than waste the crop, he decided to try an innovative low-pressure steam-distillation to converted it into an essential oil. Therapia bought a few litres from this first distillation and have been using the oil ever since, especially in our Original Arthritic Joint Cream.

Therapia increased its activities by becoming the official UK reseller for MEDIHEMP products in 2015 at a time when CBD was not as widely available as it is today.
